1.  You could create a full screen panel which is a popup and make it
topmost on the vgui surface
2.  SetCursor(dc_blank)

Played around with them.  As you might guess, I'm coding a binding
interface.
Still have two issues:

1.  Can't seem to completely trap events; mouse clicks, for example,
still
register on VGUI elements.
2.  How the heck do you hide the cursor?
