Do you have the Steam ID's?

Check out the stats systems run by various servers and get info on their
Play

www.op4-eurostats.de
www.gamenet.org.uk/stats
www.ag-stats.net

There is another system at www.clan-fate.com but there has been rumours
of it been edited to favour certain players

These scores do seem highly improbable but not un-heard of in this
mod... The general consensus is that they are good at the game

The players most probably use scripts and exploit the million bugs that
are in the mod, this is what makes them incredibly fast and able players

The server also seems full of new players so I can't say that it wasn't
too hard to get those scores

If you are wanting a reason to have them banned, you could claim that
that where been un-sports man like :P

Usually doesn't go down too well though :P

Typically, if I don't have solid evidence that a player is cheating, I
gauge my actions based on the rest of the players.

What I mean is,... sometimes there will be 20 people in the server,

constantly, and calling him a hacker.

He might not be hacking or cheating. He might very well be THAT good.
But if that player is so good he running the rest of my players off

After it would be running for well, can't remember how long now, but it'd run for
several hours or a day or something, it would use 100% CPU and stop restarting HLDS
and I'd have to kill it off.

I've since switched to FireDaemon, and it's proven to be a good investment so far,
only exception is I wish it handled/closed error message windows that some mods

If you want a really nice control panel that integrates with FireDaemon try out

There are a few floating around, but I found this one to be quite easy
to setup: http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/1815.html.

That site unfortunately requires registration and wading through too
many damn ads and such, so you can also grab it from my ftp:

There could be a number of certain conditions that could have helped to cause it. I
was using the latest version on Windows Server 2003 Standard with several different HL
mods. Maybe something I missed, but now I'm happy with just using FireDaemon.

RE: [OT] [hlds] Anyone know these players?

2004-09-06 Thread DarK
Please remember that this is NOT CS

There are no rounds, and the server speed usually around 300 - 320, just
25-30 minutes of frag after frag!

Add the user's scripts to the account (If using), weapons can be changed
instantly, bunny hopping is possible in most opposing force servers as
well.

Couple this with a guy of decent aim and the correct players (available
on steam with loads of new players) you get the score with ease.

Opposing force is fast and damn near frustrating at times!

The score is possible and has been seen before.

But I agree it is high and I'm sure if it was brought to the correct
forums in the OP4 community, questions will be asked and raised!

Re: [OT] [hlds] Anyone know these players?

2004-09-06 Thread Ooks Server
I've been around long enough to know better to start screaming hacker
without observing the players for a bit first. What I saw was very
suspicious. There were two of them running around killing anything that
moved with a Tau. The most incriminating evidence was when I ran around a
corner and as soon as I cleared the wall, I was hit with a loaded Tau. Did
he see me coming because of a wallhack of some sort? Was he in the right
place at the right time? Even after what I saw, I still don't have enough
evidence to say with 100% surety that they were cheating. It's still
possible that the two of them were just very good. They were using mostly
the Tau for their kills, and there are a lot of kids that spend a lot of
time learning how to jump and kill with the Tau. They irritate the snot out
of the other players, but aren't really cheating.

We use phpua

http://phpua.sourceforge.net/

It real neat with a lot of stuff. You can have a pic of say de_dust and it
will show on the pic at your webpage where the players are. We do not use
that because it does seem to lag a full server

Check it out on the ctr page

Subject: Re: [hlds] CSS Server Status

There are a few floating around, but I found this one to be quite easy
 to setup: http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/1815.html.

That site unfortunately requires registration and wading through too
many damn ads and such, so you can also grab it from my ftp:
 ftp://dexworld.org/css-php-query.zip.
