[hlds] CSS map rotations
As there are no players there is no game as such and untill player join you need 2 to actually start the game maybe some players dont have access to your custom maps in the cycle thats why it sits empty for so long try cutting down on the custom maps it will busy up your server ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds

True. And I've banned 3 (all speed hackers) since the 11th on my server. As I'm aware, currently there is no anti-cheat for CS:S aside from VAC1 correct? All third party makers that I know of haven't released an anti-cheat yet and steambans.com requires that you be an active contributor to make use of their services (while understandable, it also hurts people like myself who have a somewhat new server, am the primary and somewhat sole admin, but don't want to spend all game time demo'ing cheaters). ~Tony On Fri, 14 Jan 2005 02:22:23 -0800, spartibus [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Cheats have been out for CS:Source for a longg time man. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Pawel Dabrowski Sent: Friday, January 14, 2005 1:51 AM To: hlds Subject: [hlds] First CS:S Cheat released - Valve help us please. Re: [hlds] Windows 2003 server lag issue, any solutions jet ?
Hi, That's seems to help, thank you very much for your tip. Setting processor affinity (thread bind) so that 1:st HLDS use processor 0 and 2:nd HLDS process use processor 1 helped. Hi No I Havent't bind processes for CPU (CPU0, CPU1) I will try that, hope that helps. But still I don't understand why booting solves all the problems ( restarting process, not server ). Anyway I let you now, if binding helps. Have you bound the servers to each CPU? Or letting it handle it on its own? I been running a different kind of gameserver, but when I didn't bind the prosesses it swapped between both CPUs and thus creating lag. Just a tought. Im running 2003 server too btw. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Snagu Sent: 13. januar 2005 19:01 To: hlds@list.valvesoftware.com Subject: Re: [hlds] Windows 2003 server lag issue, any solutions jet ? I had earlier Win 2000 Server with same configuration, no problems. I upgraded to Win 2003 std server (clear installation) and problems started. Also Xeon processors emulate double processor (hyper-threading), so there is one thread for each HLDS. I think the problem is somewhere else.
