Ok, so i just installed hlserve4111. So I go into the folder and click on hlds, it brings up a screen where you can select which game to play it on. The choices are only half-life, Deathmatch Classic, Ricochet, and TFC. I want to run this server for counter strike. RE: [hlds] Just got hlserver4111
I take it you're not running in the console mode, but rather using the UI that steam provides? Sounds like you need to download the CS files from Steam then you should be able to bring up the server. I would recommend using the console mode to run the server though. It will take up less PC resources. wrt commands, those are server CVARs that will go into the server.cfg file. Lots of good resources out there to help you configure those. One of those is here: http://www.planethalflife.com/server/ Steam also has a good guide on how to get the most out of the HLDS here: http://steampowered.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/steampowered.cfg/php/enduser/std_ad p.php?p_faqid=108p_created=1093248464p_sid=SFF9oNIhp_lva=p_sp=cF9zcmNoPT EmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9OTUmcF9wcm9kcz0xNCZwX2NhdHM9MC ZwX3B2PTEuMTQ7Mi51MCZwX2N2PSZwX3NlYXJjaF90eXBlPWFuc3dlcnMuc2VhcmNoX25sJnBfcG FnZT0xp_li=p_topview=1 -Original Message- From: Ben (h) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, June 24, 2005 9:23 AM To: hlds@list.valvesoftware.com Subject: [hlds] Just got hlserver4111 Ok, so i just installed hlserve4111.
