Re: [hlds] Team Fortress 2 Server Install Questions

2007-10-30 Thread admin

Looking to find out more about the player limiter for TF2. I have the one
from SourceOp. It works, but is vALVE still blocking those? Apparently if
the server has players in it it isn't hidden? Is that correct? Any info
would be great!

I already did and it did not help. I cannot use -verify_all it will not
get
past the first "block" of downloads.

Scott, you might want to consider adding auth info to your update

A beta update is now available for Counter-Strike: Source, Day of
Defeat: Source, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch and their dedicated servers. To
get this update, please run hldsupdatetool with the command "-beta
src1029". The specific changes include:

- Fixed hl2mp crowbar swing speed different between Windows and Linux
servers
- Fixed a potential hang bug in the server browser
- Fixed certain filenames not protected by sv_pure
- Fixed CSoundEnt spam on the server with high numbers of player slots
on a server
- Fixed hl2mp chat bug on Linux servers
- Minor optimization to the askconnect panel
- Fixed IP address column reporting IPs backwards
- Security fix for file transfers as reported by James Gray
- Fixed players able to make their name disappear in the scoreboard by
setting it to "~~ ~" in the options panels

Re: [hlds] sv_lan bug on change map

2007-10-30 Thread Kevin Ottalini

I just tested this on my local WinXP (you are running a Linux server there
and this is the Win32 list) and do not see a problem here.

One little thing, you really need to "changelevel de_nuke" not "map de_nuke"

./srcds_run -game cstrike -debug -port 27015 -insecure -nomaster -tickrate

then i try to change the map :
map de_nuke

and i get this:

the server seems like to freeze, and the steamengine.cpp error appears
every 0.10 seconds in console.

if i don't launch the server with the "+sv_lan 1" option, i can change
the map as asual without the steamengine.cpp bug.

I thought that a bad file could be there, and i removed everything, and
redownloaded everything, and the bug is still there.

The server is a defaut one, without any server.cfg file, without any

the version hasn't been updated, servers are still running on September 5,
Build 3224

The content however has been updated:

from:
67 4 4 8 89
to:
68 4 4 8 90

so "counter-strike source shared content" and "source dedicated sever linux"
got updated

Will this update be released? I thought there will be no future Update until
the old games have been ported to the new orange box (2007) Engine.

Thanks :)

Happend again a few minutes ago. The server is full all day and we don't
have hardware issues. We can't seem to find the problem, because it happened
only 1 times a day with our server. Beside that the server is doing nothing
then hosting a tf2 server. The strangest thing is that not all players get
kicked.

If the kick is over the server is fine for a day. No more kickes etc.
