Anti-bunny hopping code... thanks Jason!

Also, the VAC servers (specifically Steam3) don't seem to be responding
after the update and reboot.

RE: [hlds] RE: [hlds_announce] Team Fortress 2/Dedicated Server update

2007-11-01 Thread Tony Paloma
Is this on the client or server? I'm seeing terrible performance on the
server now after the latest update. Each of my three servers get about 20fps
now and now combine to 100% cpu usage. Before this update, I was seeing
normal FPS with just about 70% CPU usage and even less usage without
srcdsfpsboost. Now, with or without srcdsfpsboost I get 100% usage and low
FPS.

RE: [hlds] RE: [hlds_announce] Team Fortress 2/Dedicated Server update

2007-11-01 Thread Greg Williams

I updated last night, and i am getting the exact same issues. Except i
will in throw in VERY Low FPS. I am set for 300FPS for the server, and
before update it would swing, never going below 30.

Now it doesn't get over 15 ever. With 24 people.

Everyone in both our servers notice a dramatic difference, every since
last night.

Yup. Same problem here.

I bet it's the anti-bhop code. Maybe they should remove it and find out if
that's the cause.

Wink wink.

2007-11-01 Thread Graham M

Problem!

I'm getting the following error

-bash2-2.05b$ ./steam -command update -game tf -dir tf2/
Checking bootstrapper version ...
Updating Installation

DebugAssert
Expr: ( close( m_pImpl-m_Socket ) ) == 0
Line: 598
File: ../Engine/Src/ContentServerBlockingConnection.cpp
Abort trap: 6 (core dumped)

So it won't get the update?

Cheers
Graham

What is with having to delete the contents of the bin folder to make the
server update correctly. Is that something on my end or is anyone else
having this issue? Also when I start with a blank folder with nothing but
the updatetool it always give me a file creation error and stopsthis
game is starting to become the pain in my butt, it never updates
rightgreat game horrible server software.
