Re: [hlds] Servers are absent in Server Browser

2011-10-01 Thread Prof. Safto Rangen
Here's the link to the really legal beautiful HL1 100% Steam servers..
Run those (without evil non-Steam plugins :D) and if the error still occurs,
you can probably expect a little more support..
Even though it's true that the most-played European TFC server is a
non-Steam server (aimaster)..

Why are we having an argument about cracked servers in a game that was made
free to play months ago, why are we doing it via internet meme?

Does that mean I can go to bed now because you still need 6 or 7

the update is ready or do I have to stay awake because the update is
   coming
in about 30 minutes and 150 people will complain in my forums until

Re: [hlds] Half-Life 1 Engine Update released

2009-04-17 Thread Prof. Safto Rangen
It would be nice to know which exploits were fixed. Though my interest was
gone by 50% when I found out that TFC exploits still work. ;)

2009/4/17 pizzahut pizzah...@gmail.com

He wouldn't need to tell how an exploit is done.
Also how can you beta test the client, other than general stability, if you
 don't know what is fixed.
Finally, people who want to use exploits can do so anyway, there's even a
list at TFC forum which bugs there still are.
 2009/4/17 Saul Rennison saul.renni...@gmail.com

No because then you'd be able to use the exploits before the beta goes
  mainstream.

  2009/4/17 pizzahut pizzah...@gmail.com

   2009/4/16 Alfred Reynolds alf...@valvesoftware.com

There is also a client piece to this beta now, so if you run your
 Steam
client with -beta hlds0319 on the command line you will get it. The
   client
piece fixes a couple exploits in the game engine.

Could you give a pointer which exploits have been fixed?
