Re: [hlds] DOD:S Voice-chat Icon Question

2011-10-03 Thread SakeFox

Ask and you shall receive.

Nice and thanks.

I know it's off topic, but any chance that the DOD:S and TF2 stats will
ever get working again on the valve site? I don't know if the TF2 ones
are even still there, but there were kind of fun to look at.

Jake,

I spent a few days researching this and I believe the answer is no,
there seems to be no way to turn off this feature. I guess one option
would be to change the graphic for the icon and make it transparent,
but that would most likely require significant work for the game and a
forced download to all the clients who connect to you server.

Sorry... Unless I'm missing something, it appears you're out of luck.
Sounds like a good feature request for the DOD:S Steam forum though.

Take care.

Is there a setting to hide the chat icon above the players head when
all talk is on? We have a server where they love all talk, but the
chat bubble gives away their position and they don't like that for
some reason

Thanks for any insight.

Jake

Thanks for looking into that - I was starting to think I was crazy for not
being able to find how to disable it. I appreciate the time you spent!
