Re: [hlds] Frequent synchronized client crashes
Synchronized crashes as well here, but not crashing the clients to desktop. I've noticed that the last thing in the console before the crash is an rcon from the server itself for stats. --- -- Ron / CrazeD On 10/14/2011 12:55 AM, pilger wrote: Since my entry on the other thread got swept away by other problems, i figured i should create another thread. I've been getting reports of synchronized crashes affecting a set of players on my server and experienced it myself. It doesn't affect all players, but it definitely affects more than one player at the same time and it crashes the client back to OS without any warning or message. It's frequent and it appears to be happening on other servers aswell, as i have been told. Can't confirm that 100%, though. I think it should have something to do with the item server as long as it is a synchronized crash. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
Re: [hlds] Frequent synchronized client crashes
This happened on my servers last night -- in once case, the people getting kicked off were entirely on the blue team. It wound up being 12 vs 1 after everyone was finished. In each case, it was a case of no steam logon before the mass exodus occurred. Re: [hlds] Frequent synchronized client crashes
Happening alot today as well. Every time we get a server full, 6-12 players will get dumped with a No Steam Logon error. Methinks the backend improvements are not quite ready for prime time. Same issue. No steam logon error to at least 12 clients at once not even 3 minutes ago. On Fri, Oct 14, 2011 at 11:58 AM, E. Olsen ceo.eol...@gmail.com wrote: Happening alot today as well. Re: [hlds] Frequent synchronized client crashes
Probably because the item servers have been down and they're trying to restore services. Same thing happens when Steam goes down.
