Re: [hlds] TF2.... How can it be fun?
I really disliked the respawn time until I realised that it is fast for attackers, slow for defenders and equal on normal maps. This does make for a far more attacking game where on the final point it gives an extra 10 seconds or so for the attacking team to move towards your point. It's irritating if you are desperately trying to defend your point but at a game level it seems about right. I am, however, very surprised at how long it takes to connect to a server. totally agree on the respawn time. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
[hlds] TF2.... How can it be fun?
Our group just played a map night and I start to regret getting TF2. - Scout kill soldiers with just *2* shotgunshots and HWs bite the dust after *3* shotgunshots. Multiple people (5 in a 8v8) during the game complained about the shotgun, it's the #1 off balanced weapon atm. - The insanely high power of the scoutbat ruins the fun as well. - The respawndelay is ridiculously high and makes a stand of your team impossible. - Classlimits: facing 3 snipers and 1 HW+med in a 6v6 game - The 1 minute time needed during mapchange/connect. It looks like you just got on a bad team on a server where that team had a serious disadvantage. Either that, or try playing on full servers, the game doesn't play well with less than 12v12 in my opinion. 10v10 is okay, but below that it makes people think tactics which is hard when the game isn't designed for single-person tactics as much as team play. Re: [hlds] TF2.... How can it be fun?
-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] the power of the shotgun depends on the proximity of the attacker to the victim. i've been a HW and taken more than 3 shotgun shots to die - becuase of my proximity to my attacker. same applies with a soldier Vs scout's shotgun. as for the insane power of his bat - well, yeah if you stand about waiting to be hit or he creeps up on you - so more aware and move about more. totally agree on the respawn time. classlimits - we need those deffo. load times - get some perspective FFS - its still BETA O.M.G.!!! respect, Pat On 9/28/07, MeZelf [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Our group just played a map night and I start to regret getting TF2. - Scout kill soldiers with just *2* shotgunshots and HWs bite the dust after *3* shotgunshots.
