I bet there are thousands of people sitting double clicking on team fortress
2 in steam hoping it will work.
Instantly: Doing the same thing again and again hoping for a different
result.

The client files, are from the initial (and bad) server download. They wont
work...

Either the content servers are in fact out of sync... or they haven't been
updated yet.

Yeah, I'm connected to the following server for updating.

69.28.140.244

Unfortunately there's no reverse DNS on that specific IP so I can't really
tell who's hosting it, but whoever is needs to check the server, I'm getting
probably 1MB/minute at this rate...won't be done until tomorrow seeing as
slow as it's going now. Is there any possible way to switch the content
server through the tool?

That is strange Brandon because mine has /hl2 and /orangebox in the main

Hmm, my pre-load seems to have an 'orangebox/tf' folder and a 'tf' folder in
the root directory. Both have the same content, which one of these is going
to be used? Why would it download the /tf folder also?

Hmm, my pre-load seems to have an 'orangebox/tf' folder and a 'tf' folder in
the root directory. Both have the same content, which one of these is going to
be used? Why would it download the /tf folder also?

I'm at 20%... It's been running since last night.. I've restarted it a few
times to make sure it wasn't stuck or timed out.

SUPER slow.

It also breaks our automation here as its removed the Verifying identifier
so would be good to get that back so we can identify which files are just
being verified and which are actually being updated.

I've also noticed that if you stop an update and then restart it, it will
begin back at 0% again.
