I don't know of any HL2DM updates, but we do have something in the pipe
you will like :) (and no, I am not going to say what it is :)

Re: [hlds] Working with 3rd party developers

2006-04-19 Thread Darrel

Well, I went to do just that and found the forum down... :-( But I think
that more people posting to the (stickied) thread in the problems section
would let them know that it isn't just 5-6 people having the issue. (BTW, I
post as Larred in the HLSW forums.)

Alfred you tease. But if it doesn't deal with HL2DM I won't get too
excited, I'm currently still addicted and not playing anything else.

I will pass this address on to them. I think part of the problem is that if
you haven't updated your server, then HLSW isn't broke for you. So there's
really only a few of us that are complaining, and if there were any other
alternative I would have thanked HLSW for the time it served me and moved to
the alternative. Thanks for your replies Alfred, I appreciate it.

Oh, is there going to be any new skins or any other updates for HL2DM with
the upcoming Episode One release? Thanks...

RE: [hlds] Working with 3rd party developers

2006-04-19 Thread Bush
So whats next?
You expect Valve to start "semi-supporting" HLStatsX, Psycho Stats, Mani?

The developers of these software titles took on the task of creating
something based off of someone else's work, they should scramble to be
compatible with the updates.

Don't get me wrong, unless I've been living under a rock the last 5 years or
so, valve doesn't document all that well to the public mostly b/c its not
open source software. With that said, I think they should do more releasing
information to the public -- to better support developers, a heads up if you
will about changes to code or other operational standards valve introduces.

Thanks
