That would be a question of priorities, not ethics. Personally I don't care either because it’s so easy to ignore threads you are not interested in, posting in them will not make them go away. I think the big point here is that Achievements in a PC game are up there with free public wifi. Re: [hlds] A question of ethics
The funny thing is, valve hasent fixed fake clients, they really need too + i believe acheivement farming isnt as bad because it does require people to get achievements, thus meaning people working as a team. If there were no farming wouldnt that mean someone decided to put an I inside TEAM? Re: [hlds] A question of ethics
I have used the unlocker to get the scout achievements (all others were earned by grinding in regular maps). I have never used a fake clients plugin, nor will I ever. The ONLY thing that gets you banned from any of my servers is exploiting/hacking. I don't care if you're spamming racial epithets on the mic, using porn sprays, or killing your teammates. That's what muting, disabling sprays, and kicking are for. There is NOTHING else you can do to get yourself banned from my servers. Everyone has a good time, and when there is a problem player, people simply ignore/kick them. I gotta agree with Karl here.
