Re: [hlds] Arena maps

2008-08-20 Thread Arg!
setting maxplayers to 36 does not work, 32 is the max so 36 forces it to be
32.

and even then, i couldnt get it to have even 10 players per team, still only
a max of 8

So if you set the maxplayers to 36 and then that divides by 3 does that mean

Re: [hlds] Arena maps

2008-08-20 Thread Blood Letter
It's not set at all in any config file, so it's at whatever the default is
(15?).

sv? nf? rep?

Never understood what each of those were (I've also seen "a"). I presume sv
is server variable. Google is useless.

Arena maps are working now, but I have to have a blown-out server.cfg.
I'll add stuff piece by piece to see what breaks it I guess.

Re: [hlds] Arena maps

2008-08-20 Thread Blood Letter
So server, cfg gets executed, then, if it's an arena map, config_arena.cfg gets
executed.
Any conflicting values are overwritten.

So the cause of the problem (stuck at waiting for players) is some setting in
server.cfg (as suspected).
What that setting is, I don't know yet...

You can go back and forth. It works perfectly fine, just make sure in
