[hlds_linux] Beta VAC
With the current beta VAC and the client crashes, it seemed to happen to me mostly while running with a flash in hand, and I crashed most often as a T in office running towards the back stairs to the CT spawn. I have to warn you tho, de_walmart is EXTREMELY BIG. Like it's a 3 meg map, compressed... and of course, in-game map downloading sucks... it took like half an hour to load it on our machines at extreme and their all local LAN! we often employ Low Grav Disco Mode (requires adminmod) admin_fun 1 admin_disco 1 admin_gravity 100 this is especially fun on otherwise frustrating maps like cs_assault. i run an FF server so like me, beware. in disco mode everyone looks the same from far away :) a good variant is Low Grav Disco Mode with only pistols and shotguns available. and maybe scouts. Hey guys, How much strain does HLTV put on a machine when it has 50+ people watching? I can't stress this enough. ME is by far the most unstable OS I've ever used. Running a server on that OS is completely pointless. What is forcing you to do ME over something simple like RH? This is due to the design of the ADSL modems/routers putting any ACK packets on the downloads at the end of the queue for stuff to be sent out, so its behind the uploading data. Another way to have some fun is: mp_buytime 0.01 slow buying players will have no fun mp_footsteps 0 at the end of a round when everybody is camping and hear the enemy before comming around the corner. mp_roundtime 1 when the T (in de levels) will take too much time to finish mp_c4timer 15 when the CT are taking all time to get to the bomb mp_freezetime of course mp_startmoney 16000 just bevor a mapchange... not all people get it :) sv_maxspeed 80 slow baby slow but also a fun is to give the worst player on the server (with a 0:xx kd ratio) an extra bonus with admin_godmode player for one round.
