perhaps he's refering to hlguard ...
and as for WON going down, thats not really too much of a possibility right
now (per reading other threads on this list) and considering steam seems to
be lacking horribly in some areas compared to 311x ...

[hlds_linux] Round Time Problems

2003-12-31 Thread Jay Carter
I've been having a lot of problems lately with round times running up on my
CS server. It's pretty routine for me to check the times and they be 90
minutes or so for no reason. They also don't seem to be resetting after map
changes. I'm running the latest AMX mod and Logmod and that's about it. I
suspect the problem stems from AMX but I can't prove it so I thought I
would post here and see if anyone has any suggestions about how to fix this
problem. What I've tried so far is:
Making a config file for each map and setting the time limit in it.

Putting the time limit in the startup line

In each map cfg file, trying to get the server to exec server.cfg on every
map change.
So far none of these have really helped. Has anyone else experienced this
problem and if so, how did you fix it? Even if you haven't, any ideas how
to fix it would be welcome.
Thanks

Jay

This is stupid. Can you please up the model limit in DoD or reduce the
number of models in the maps? Your right on the dang edge which means
admins can't run any addons or most maps start crashing. With nothing
but sturmbot installed I had to remove a couple stock maps. Now I want
to run monster_mod and i'm getting more problem maps...

PLEASE!

--- from logs---
Reduce the number of brush models and/or regular models in the map to
correct this. L 12/31/2003 - 16:35:15: FATAL ERROR (shutting down):
Host_Error:
PF_precache_model_I: Model 'models/mapmodels/flo_grass2.mdl' failed to
precache because the item count is over the 512 limit. Reduce the number
of brush models and/or regular models in the map to correct this.

With how many concurrent users? And what other mods are you running?
