hmm, anyone know how to fix the 127.0.0.1 ip issue? Im still somewhat newb to linux and rent a box, all my ip addresses are added in ifcfg-eth0, ifcfg-eth0:0, and so on. How would i make it so cs source picks up one of those ips without the +ip??? Would adding the main ip to the host file solve it without disrupting my connection to server?? do I need the line 127.0.0.1 in the host file?? Im lost on this one... I still think having the DS autoconfigure the clock by itself is a good idea. Many server admins are lazy / stupid / etc and this will only confuse them more. [hlds_linux] CS:S CPU Detection Questions
So, I have me a nice duallie PIII box. When I run the Source DS, it only ever shows a single CPU. Is Source aware of multiple CPUs (I know it's not SMP capable) or does it do what I think it's doing, only checking features / running the little detection algorithm? Also, what would make the frequency shift by .1MHz between runs? I would think that it'd be reading the cpu speed from linproc, which I believe needs to be mounted for this happen, as BF1942 also reads the cpu speed and this is how it needs to be done for that as well under FreeBSD. [hlds_linux] Memory Leak causing high Cpu Usage?
Ever since the patch last time it has caused all the servers that I am hosting to drain memory very quickly. Once all memory is drained and paging/swap files are huge in size the cpu usage goes up to like 95-100% load ( probably trying to make up for the lack of memory ). Servers are averaging 50-70% Cpu Usage. Anyone else seeing this problem with servers? You get "Invalid STEAM ticket" when you try to use the same Steam account on two PC's at once. Quit CS:S, choose "Exit and Logout" from steam and then log back in again and the message will go away.
