Yea that is very large, what you got in there? I only install the mod that is used in the dir and it's only around 350 megs. Yer loads of mods but it shows that separate installs for GSP's aren't really an option as you quickly run out of diskspace. Not to mention the fact that its very OS disk cash unfriendly potentially leading to poorer performance especially on map change. This error is caused by running an old version of the steam binary. The md5sum command will give you the md5 of a file.
