Re: [hlds_linux] hlds: performance problems in de_aztec

2006-05-03 Thread Kevin Ottalini

This might be a client-side env_rain problem, see if cl_weather 0 (in the
client) fixes the problem.

I don't know if there is a server CVAR that will globally disable this, but
for test purposes you could use ripent and remove the env_rain entity from
the BSP.

The CPU usage isn't any different on de_aztec compared to other maps. And
i'm not reaching the max of the server either. The ping values are a
little
bit higher (like 40ms or 50ms instead of 30ms) all over the map but quite
higher during short periods (+120ms).

Hello,

Do you know what is the cpu usage with this map ?
The ping value is higher than on other maps during all de_aztec, or only
during short periods ?

Best regards.

large

doesn't matter from where you connect. (for example: My own ping is
around
30 ms most of the time, but in de_aztec it's usually around 70-100ms)
Does
anyone else have these problems? It happens on all servers running
de_aztec.
No problems on other maps. Maybe there are some server-side settings
to fix
this performance drop, or maybe it's just the map?

[hlds_linux] Zbot on hlds linux

2006-05-03 Thread bakonki
Hi folks,
I need to know if there's a way to run zbot on a Cstrike 1.6 dedicated
server.
Tryin' to proceed like on windows it return a dll error, due to the "game
dlls" parameter in liblist.gam that I don't know to set correctly to run the
game server with zbot.
Anyway I'm interested to everything could make me run bots on a 1.6 linux
server.
Someone who suggest ?

Thanks

Andrea

RE: [hlds_linux] Vac turning off / Server going insecure regularly

2006-05-03 Thread kama

you cant read sv_secure from a plugin. or at least its not possible in
console to write sv_secure and get a 1 or 0.
