Re: [hlds_linux] TF2: CTF Doublecross round end bugs

2010-02-02 Thread Tony Paloma
I also have a problem with doublecross not ending on timelimit. The map will
continue until one team wins the round by capping the flag
tf_flag_caps_per_round number of times. Maybe that's what you're seeing when
some team wins minutes later?

Setting mp_match_end_at_timelimit doesn't seem to fix the problem either.

Hello,

we have a time limit set of 30 minutes, both flags where captured and
dropped, we got an overtime after the time limit. But both flags came back
to their flag room and the overtime was still present. Some minutes later,
the map ended but the team with the higher score lost the game (Red 2, Blue
1, Red lost).

Confirmed hanging here. Gentoo Linux for what it's worth, was working fine
the night before, then our scripts did a sourceDS update and reboot, and now
all four servers hang on bootup. Will be happy to provide any information
needed for resolution.

At least stop releasing updates on your way out the door to go home. This
could have waited until today when people could have given them feedback
during business hours.

Re: [hlds_linux] Counter-Strike: Source Update Available

2010-02-02 Thread Allan Button
I agree. Its impossible for Valve to test every update on every platform.

Almost every other software company allows you to use a beta or release
candidate before the official version comes out. I am actually typing this on
Office Outlook 2010 Beta currently.

My server group runs a 'beta testing' server, where we test out plugins before
they make it to our main servers. I would gladly add a -beta to the startup
line and update it when beta release become available to see what impacts it
has on our servers.

I know this is about CSS Update, but my experience is with TF2 servers. One
thing I am sure the beta testing phase could have caught would have been
Natasha going limp every other update.

Untill Valve issues a fix, only thing you need is to replace the bin
folder content with old files (it's located next to your cstrike
folder.) Then again, if you do not have the old files anymore, that

Server hang after the line:

appdatacache.cpp (311) : Assertion Failed: !"Implement me"

Last strace lines:

Re: [hlds_linux] Counter-Strike: Source Update Available

2010-02-02 Thread Kyle Sanderson
It's a tool used to prepare engine files for allowing "no-steam"
programs/emulators to run within SRCDS. I don't use it anymore as my
community is now strong, but that's the only backup I had at the time. Since
I made that post multiple game server owners have come forward offering 100%
unmodified engine files. As of now I believe there are three mirrors
available.

Cheers,
Kyle.
