Re: [hlds_linux] Server update hanging
Having the same problem here... lately we are also getting update updates looping -_-' Il 13/04/2011 11:20, Simon Gunton - INX-Gaming.co.uk ha scritto: Has anyone else for the last week or more been having issues with the steam update command hanging or running very slowly? Normally a full tf2 verify all take about 20 - 30mins to run through fully but currently we are having issues were servers are hanging on start-up due to the update command we run (with non verify btw) just sitting there not doing anything and currently annoying customers but we don't really want to have to remove the update line as it ensures there server is up to date. Re: [hlds_linux] hlds-op4 segfaults and just sits there, won't restart
How would that stop it from just sitting there on segfault, instead of restarting? Also, I run custom maps, and the maps and resources are located on a remote download site, wouldn't sv_allowdownload 0 prevent them from being able to download from my download site when connecting to server? I read the messages at the link you posted, but it doesn't say anything about this problem. I tried the exploit on my servers, and it did not work. Re: [hlds_linux] OB server browser simplified internet list
I'm pretty sure it uses the score system they introduced a few months ago, where a server will gain points if the clients stay connected for a long time, but will lose points if they leave quickly, and sorts them by map and game style. That system is for TF2, I don't know if this system is also implemented for other OB games. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux

Re: [hlds_linux] OB server browser simplified internet list
I thought they changed the listing style so the servers most close to your location would be shown first. /Chris Den 16/04/2011 kl. 10.56 skrev C Szabo: > > The servers shown after your own IP. Re: [hlds_linux] OB server browser simplified internet list
He's wrong, it has nothing to do with IP-address. Also it doesn't seem to be listed under lowest ping either. However it does list the same servers all the time.
