Re: [hlds_linux] Coordination between developers in the Half-Life dedicated Linux server project
I Think this is great but i dunno if you have gotten something wrong. HLDS is not open-source and the only coding done on it is made by Valve Software. We (the community/server owners/hosters) can report bugs we findto Valve by this list, email or the steampowered forum. I think you should direct your questions to the many open source administration tools for HLDS instead like Mani admin plugin Sourcemod AmxmodX These are the three most popular open source projects against HLDS at least when it comes to admin control. -- //Rikard 'Zapy' Bremark ComHem AB - http://www.comhem.se Warzone.nu - http://www.warzone.nu Warzone Short Valley rikard.brem...@warzone.nu z...@warzone.nu On 2012-11-04 18:26, Tengy Td wrote: Hello, I am a French student and I am currently realizing my final thesis in the field of Free/libre open source software. [hlds_linux] disconnected (reason Server info data overflow)
disconnected (reason Server info data overflow) Ok I posted a while back thinking it was on a Linux issue but now I have seen it on a Windows server - anyone care to give me some steps on solving this problem? This is what clients are getting after a while of the server going - requires a map reset to allow clients to join again without getting the error. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
[hlds_linux] Traceray Crash
I'm not sure if this is already known or not, but I didn't see it anywhere in the mailing lists and it hasn't been fixed yet. There appears to be a problem in the physics code in TF2 regarding tracerays, as the server crashes sometimes when they're used. See also: http://goo.gl/sSfdk I've had to disable most of the plugins on my server to get it to stop crashing. It's not a plugin issue, but rather an issue with plugins calling code built into the game that is now buggy. This started after the Halloween update. Re: [hlds_linux] Traceray Crash
That list is actually just the ones before the Halloween update, as the Halloween update changed the binary name.
