Re: [hlds_linux] TF2 Linux Binaries DOA? Or my problem?

I think the processor needs to support at least sse2.

Anyone else confirm/deny? :\

I cannot get this to work. I'm a veteran CS:S server admin, so I'm not new
to this. First off: I performed verify_all to make certain my installation
was not corrupt.

Most of the maps produce a segmentation fault when loading them, but I did
get cp_gravelpit to work. I am able to run the server, connect, select a
class and team. However, the game crashes when it tries to spawn a player
with the following error:

IVP Failed at /home/chrisg/staging/src/ivp/ivp_utility/ivu_vhash.cxx 157

There are also many, many more errors while it loads the map, I am not sure
if these are related. A basic summary of the errors:

Particles: Missing 'particles/error.pcf'
Unknown command "startupmenu"
ConVarRef room_type doesn't point to an existing ConVar
exec: couldn't exec skill1.cfg
[Repeated 151 times for different model files] Bad data found in model

This is an SMP machine running glibc-2.12.9, with two processors of the
following spec:

Thanks for any insight into this matter. I understand the game isn't
technically out yet and these binaries are very new. :)

Re: [hlds_linux] Team Fortress 2/Dedicated Server Updated

Yea, I am too. My 24 player is around 70-80% CPU.

I hope there are still some optimizations to do...

Anyone else noticing substantially higher cpu usage with this version?

24 players used to cause about 50-60% cpu use. Now it's closer to 90%..
and literally nothing has changed except this update..
