Re: [hlds_linux] [HELP] CD-Proof hacks are in fact the safest vac2 hacks!!

2005-11-15 Thread rawcsserver

Sorry I was not aware of [EMAIL PROTECTED] email.
But, I also did not think normal players will be using list mailing list.
Since linux server
admins see this mailing list, I added it here. I do not expect server admins
hacking or supporting hacks.

Anyways, I see the point. I will utilize alfred email in future.

You should not post links to cheating sites in public places. Please
submit
them directly to Valve instead ([EMAIL PROTECTED] will work fine
for
you).
Second, why are you so sure about those cheats to be "VAC2 Proof"? You'll
be
surprised to see how many users of "VAC2 Proof" cheats start whinning on
Steampowered forums about being banned by VAC for nothing...

Cheers,

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

[ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] I have confronted a
hacker on our server in condition of unban that he removes his hacks
and provides me with hack sites. He, being a leet hacker, told me
something shocking.
He said, those hacks that
is not detected by vac2 are the hacks the are not for vac2 to begin with.
He said, the most popular
and safe hack on vac2 servers is CD-Proof (cheating-death) proof hacks.
Here is the link for the
most popular CS hack site with the most popular vac2 proof hacks which
is actually to bypass cheating-Death.

Alfred/Valve, PLEASE do something to stop this.

2005-11-04 Thread rawcsserver

Just updated my server (Centos4) , but right after start, it crashed.
So I used "-beta betalinux", but it still crashed a couple of time:

Re: [hlds_linux] cl_interpolate 0 cheat/abuse

2005-06-04 Thread rawcsserver

Michael, does this apply to CS 1.6 as well?
When I type on game CS 1.6 game console cl_interpolate,
it did not return anything.

I would call this an exploit and something needs to be done to stop it.

Subject: [hlds_linux] cl_interpolate 0 cheat/abuse

Please read the "Source Multiplayer Networking" Text to fully
understand the following explanation:
http://www.valve-erc.com/srcsdk/general/multiplayer_networking.html

As we all know, the models on the client are delayed by cl_interp
seconds to smooth gameplay. The lag compensation code uses the
following formula to move the hitbox back in time to the correct
position:
Command Execution Time = Current Server Time - Client Latency - Client
View Interpolation

If a player sets cl_interpolate to 0, the models don't get delayed on
his system, but he can still set his cl_interp value to anything.
The problem is: The server seems to ignore that the client has
disabled interpolation and still moves the hitbox back in time using
the formula above which makes the hitboxes move cl_interp seconds
_behind_ the model.

A lot of players abuse this bug (like cl_interpolate 0 / cl_interp
0.05) to move the hitboxes behind the models, which makes hitting a
moving target ridiculously easy (just shoot at where the model was).
This leads to unfair gameplay and a lot of complaining on public
servers from people who don't use this "cheat".

A fix for the engine would be to set the "Client View Interpolation"
value to exactly 0 if the player users cl_interpolate 0, or, if this
isn't possible, to cheat protect cl_interpolate (like cl_extrapolate
already is). Alfred?

Michael

Re: [hlds_linux] Counter-Strike Linux server keeps crashing

We have Hlguard to check from hack scripts, nothing else.
Wall hack block laggs the server, aimbot detection crashes the server.
So much for hlguard
