Those of you still running 3110 have you noticed a drop in traffic or
 not? Just curious.

I still have a 1.5 server running... and i have not seen so much trafic to
that server. the bigger servers have switched to 1.6 already and since I
have quite good network connectivity and location on the net they are now
populating my server instead.

The only downside is that, since there are not many good 1.5 servers left,
all the cheaters have found my little server.

I will soon have a new server up and running and I will support 1.5 as
long as possible. Since I have noticed the gameplay on 1.5 is superior to
1.6. Its not the fact that the maps have change, or the new weapons. But
the feeling of 1.5 is better than 1.6 and are less buggy.

The thing is... It's not that I am lazy, it's that I just don't care.

How do you figure? I disagree completely. I feel more comfortable in 1.6.
Seems more smooth. There aren't even major bugs any more, and if there are,
its a lot easier to update now. Just my $0.02

A LOT?!

LOL! ROFL!! LMAO!!!

I've trying for 15+ days to update my servers, no firewall between my
servers and content servers, all ~/.steam and *.blob files removed,
still waiting for this crap update.
You can tell anything, but not easy to update. It works when VALVe wants.

Are you using some custom version of steam that we are not aware of.
Upgrades are total nightmare atm, it always take a few weeks before
steam has enough puff :P to allow us over here in the UK to download
the update.

Sounds like you're pretty unlucky :-(
I had no luck until about 10-12 days ago when things finally started
working. I think the guy is right when he says it's a lot easier to update
now. Are you using the latest update tool?

I dont have any real problems with steam. it may be slow sometimes, but
the update is working. What I cant get to work is the -autoupdate flag. I
need to restart the whole server before an update is made.

I was only talking about my experiences on gameplay. CS is buggy. It feels
as we have stepped back to CS 1.1 or something. I can with no problem
empty a mag at a person, with a colt, and he walks away with 25
healthpoints less.

And Im not only experiencing this on my server, but on other servers too.
