Pete Nowlen, the excellent horn instructor at California State Univ
 - Sacramento and University of California - Davis, has written an
equally excellent concise history of the horn. Though concise,
it does run to over 30 pages and is in .pdf format, so I'd be happy
to provide as an email attachment individually to anyone wanting to
read it (I've obtained Pete's permission).

[Hornlist] Ebay feedback

2005-01-28 Thread Jeff Broumas
Not too long ago, they made people using their email addresses as Ebay contact
names to change. I noticed when I made the change, my feedback did not come
with me. This may also be the case on some of the sellers.

Just a thought.

[Hornlist] A weekend in New York

2004-12-17 Thread Jeff Broumas
I was flying this last weekend, taking people to New York. I saw in the paper
the Phil was putting on it's annual Christmas Brass concert.

The Canadian Brass and the Phil Brass was absolutely phenomenal. Phil Meyers
has a sound which is second to none.

When Phil played out, he filled the hall with such a gorgeous horn tone that it
was awe inspiring.

It was a fantastic treat for me. I hope everyone, when visiting New York, will
be able to make the trek to the Center and get their fill of Phil.

[Hornlist] (no subject)

2004-12-08 Thread Jeff Broumas
I am looking for an email address for Michael J. McArtor. He was my music
instructor at Roosevelt Jr. H.S. in the late 70's. Does anyone know where he
teaches or have an email address for him.

Thanks,
