So, either get the body cut with Giardinelli threads or get the rim made with Lawson threads. I had one of my Vienna horn mouthpieces cut with Giardinelli threads so that I could use my rim. The threads were actually cut over the existing threads, some cross threading but for rim/body it works great and I can choose which rim I want to use depending on how I feel. message: 8 date: Tue, 9 May 2006 19:05:49 EDT from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] subject: Re: [Hornlist] Problem fortissimo notes Lawson threads will not match up with your Giardinelli rim or other C copies you need a Lawson rim or a custom copy that has the thread size Lawson uses. ___ post: horn@music.memphis.edu unsubscribe or set options at http://music2.memphis.edu/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org

[Hornlist] Signals for hunting horn
I have just received Signals for hunting horn from David Lamb and highly recommend it. I picked up my hunting horn in Paris on December 28th on my way to Vienna. My sister had purchased the hunting horn for me, it is a Couesnon. The first piece in David's book is You've got mail, very musical and enjoyable to play as are the rest of the pieces. Really nice having things to play that are different from the historic call compositions. [Hornlist] Vienna horns
Mr. Thomas Joebstl was kind enough to bring a supply of the new CD vienna horns to New York for the Vienna Philharmonic concerts. The purpose is to make this fantastic CD more readily available to horn players in the United States. Please contact me off list if you would like to purchase the CD. I also have a few of the Lebenszeichen CD for purchase as well. Check out the Vienna Horns website, www.viennahorns.com http://www.viennahorns.com/ to see more about the CD. [Hornlist] horn books
One book of horn music that I have found invaluable is the Exercises for Natural Horn by Freiberg. It is available from the WWV. It is great for beginning students and as a life time set of warm up exercises. ___ post: horn@music.memphis.edu unsubscribe or set options at http://music.memphis.edu/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
