Re: [Hornlist] virus

2004-04-14 Thread Hans Pizka
Milton, these mail comes from a camouflage computer generated address & uses
all available addresses (scanned from internet) to camouflage the origin of
the SPAM. Special dangerous are the obviously fake Microsoft messages or
messages like "your PC has been scanned" or "you have been on watch because
of your frequent download of music, movies etc.". Never reply to these
messages.

Hi Lawrence,

Actually no I can't. I have checked the email address of the sender,
and it is always different and when I try and send a reply to inform
that person or persons that they have a virus, it always comes back
undeliverable.

So, I don't know if it is just a random computer generated virus, or
whether or not it always comes from someone I know. So I am checking
all possibilities. Since I don't really know about these things, I
thought I would send a message to the horn lists and see if anyone else
is getting this stuff.

Thanks Milton

RE: [Hornlist] virus

2004-04-14 Thread Hans Pizka
Hello Milton, I am receiving W32Kletzky virus anytime I download my
mail. They have a SPAM filter at t-online (the biggest German), but with
rather mediocre effect as the SPAMMERS use all tricks to hide the key
words. Well, I can live with that. But I do not understand, how the
Kletzky virus gets through. It is intercepted by my always updated
Norton Anti Virus (weekly update) and my both machines are virus
complete checked every week also.

This all is something as some people understand freedom. They understand
freedom as to do everything they like, forcing people to spend a
fraction of their life time just to fight these stupid & pervers
intruders.

Long live the individuality.

I better leave no for another "Parsifal" starting in two hours at the
State Opera. A disgusting show man conducting this heavenly music.

Hey Guys,

For over a month now I have been getting at least two and sometimes
three virus attacks when I open my email. My virus software always
catches it before it gets in the computer, but I am thinking it may be
coming from someone's computer on the horn list.

Please, if you have virus software check out your computer or upgrade
your software and see if you might have the virus on your computer.

Thanks,

Milton

RE: [Hornlist] virus

2004-04-14 Thread amade

Don't think it could be this list as attachments are removed by Yahoo -
I'm pretty sure that's the setting David uses.

There are so many worm generated emails about at the moment I'm sure it's
more likely to be one of those emails you'll be getting the warnings from.

Does your AVS not tell which email causes you the problem?

[Hornlist] virus abundant

2003-09-19 Thread Hans Pizka
The W32.Ganda.A virus is abundant in the net. My virus killer kills up
to ten every time I download my mail. Be aware.

There are some fake Microsoft messages to install a certain patch
attachment. Never do that. If you get the official update message for
Windows, go to their site & update from there. Nothing else.
