I think some of the confusion here is that National Public Radio had a DID program for a while, recently. May still have it, for all I know. Blatant, unsupported opinion: Ever notice that all the best media program ideas (in the English language world, at least) originate in the UK, at the BBC? Then, some artless American copies it, usually poorly, for the North American market. I hope the BBC is getting a big cut - they deserve it.
