After having investigated the Java plugin situation with Google Chrome I have found there is a way to enable the NPAPI that has been disabled. 1. Open your Chrome web browser. 2. In the URL panel at the top type in chrome://flags/#enable-npapi 3. Click the Enable link for Enable NPAPI. 4. At the bottom of the page click the Relaunch button that has now appeared. On investigation JOSM appears to be remote controlled by HOT project tasks in Chrome whether or not NPAPI is enabled or not. Sorry if it's a stupid question but, when are the java plugins required (in the context of HOT)? I don't think using the tasking manager requires to have Chrome java plugins enabled. So, I'm just curious.
