Re: [Hplip-help] Empty page after each print job save margin settings

2006-07-19 Thread Florian Lindner
So it's a problem with the printing applicaion (KPDF or KPrinter)? Correct?
All margins in these application are set to 0, so there should be no text cut
off.

Thanks,

Florian

 Florian,

I've verified that when I print your document that the text at the top
is cut off. and I've also verified that the margins set for the printer
are correct, so the text that is cut off is cut off at the correct area.
It appears that there is a margin setting that isn't being set fully
 within the application.

Although fullbleed is usually for image printing you can review the
fullbleed printing process for setting the margins to 0 and such.

  Florian,

Do you happen to have an example pdf that I could look at and test with?

What application are you printing from that is printing the empty page?
As well can I get the document you are printing?

  Hi,
were you able to test it with the document? acroread seems to work, since
it shrinks the page so it fits the margins. It is ok for that document
but the CUPS test page shows that the printer supports smaller margins.

  Thanks,

  Florian

Florian,

If you print the cups testpage does it print the extra sheet of paper?

Does this happen with all applications? And what application are you
printing from?

Thanks!

 Hello,
I'm using the HP PSC 1610 with CUPS/KDE.

After each print job the printer prints one empty page. How can I omit that?

Another question (don't really know if it's rather KDE related): In the
KPrinter dialoge I can set the margins. Default is user defined margins with
every margin set to 0. I want to disable user defined margins. It works for
on print job but it is not saved. I've found no option in CUPS to change
that. How can I change it permanently?

 Thanks,

 Florian
