Yes I did. My apologie I upload a former file without enblend-mp.
But with enblend-mp and enfuse-mp it's as fast.

I attached the last project I made with enblend-mp.

I've encountered a similar problem with DxO Optics Pro 8, which will
produce 48bit TIFF as output that is accepted by Enfuse or Hugin, but will
not accept the TIFF produced by Enfuse or Hugin as valid input.

The response from DxO is that the Enfuse and Hugin files don't comply with
TIFF standard.

As always
enblend-WHATEVER-MADE-UP-SUFFIX --version --verbose
will tell you about the exact capabilities of the binary.

What you are looking for is something like
Extra feature: OpenMP: yes
  - version 2011-7
  - support for dynamic adjustment of the number of threads;
dynamic adjustment disabled by default
  - using 4 processors and up to 4 threads
  - allocating thread-local dynamic memory with tc_malloc/tc_delete
(This is the output for the latest development version on
my box.)

If you get only one core or one thread, you will still benefit
from direct access to the images' data w/o ImageCache.

[hugin-ptx] Re: Hugin faster?

2013-06-10 Thread cspiel
You start out talking about Hugin then blame it on Enblend -- now what.
Usually Enblend takes more time (if all control points have been set in
Hugin).
The `--gpu' option never buys you much speed.

Get an Enblend compiled w/OpenMP (and consequently without ImageCache),
preferably specifically compiled for your architecture. Use a machine with
4-8 cores and a _huge_ amount of memory.

If your images allow for it, try `--no-ciecam'. You'll find more
options/tricks
in the reference manual.

[hugin-ptx] Hugin faster?

2013-06-10 Thread romainleboudec

Hi,

I am using Hugin for making big panoram (22 pictures 5000x3000) but it's
take a while. Is there a way to improve the speed of Hugin?

I am on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and below informations about enblend. I already
tried with the experimental function remapping GPU but it doesn't work
well. And with the option --gpu of enblend the program crash

What solution could I use to improve the speed? If there is another
software faster than Hugin, I am ready o try too.

Thanks.
