A release candidate is just that, one of them (I hope the current
rc5) will end up being the final 0.8.0 release. If you have any
fixes then they can be added to SVN now and will be part of the next
release candiate (if there is one), otherwise they will be part of
the 0.9.0 (or 0.8.1) release.

There is still the review of the german translation on my task list.
I suppose there are no huge changes needed. Is there a dead line available
for check-in?

They all look worthwhile, we should apply them immediately after
0.8.0.

Sorry for the little OT but:

I reviewed your modifications to the Italian translation and I've
found two small errors:
"Assemblaggio fallito\n" instead of "Assemblaggio fallita\n"
"Immagine ancora" instead of "Immagine Ancora"
"non definiscono adeguatamente l'orientamento relativo tra le
immagini." instead of "non definiscono adeguatamente l'orientamento
relativa tra le immagini."

Thanks for updating the Italian translation...I agree with all the
terminology changes!

Cristian

Bruno applied the Spanish translation. I applied Bart's fix and made a
small fix to the Italian translation.

There are two things I'd like to ask before Bruno pushes out 0.8.0 final:

1. is there any fix that we do not know about in the pipeline of some
developer that is likely to arrive in the next week and is worth waiting
for? if yes it would be nice if the developer would raise a hand and we
shall wait for the fix.

2. there are still 11 contributed patches at

are any of them worth applying before 0.8.0 final?

I'll try and do rc5 tonight, then hopefully this can be 0.8.0 in a
couple of days.

I agree with Yuv to take the most recent SVN after Yuv's commits. Some fixes
were made which contribute to a better final 0.8.0.

IIRC there has been some progress since rc4 (nothing that would
introduce new bugs); there is a spanish translation update in the patch
tracker; and there is Bart's bugfix

Unfortunately my notebook's power brick just died. I have an alternative
but it has a different plug and I don't feel like soldering at this time
of the evening. The workstation is back in Windows processing movies.

I'll get my notebook up and running tomorrow and if nobody has committed
Bart's fix and the Spanish translation, I'll get at it.

For the release I vote to take the most recent SVN after the bugfix and
the translation update.

Hi Bruno,

All of the issues I was having were resolved by reducing the image
