  Dagur is a sore subject.
He is still listed for sale. I came down on the
 price.

I'm sorry he's not working out for you. Did the
trainer think she made any progress with him?

I was wondering the same thing. How did the trainer do with him? Did you
ride him at the trainer's before he came home? He sure is a pretty guy.

She made progress with him, But he needs constant
work and I don't have time. When I sent for him I
didn't realize how green he was. My husband loves him
but wont ride. He shouldn't be just a pet.

Are those really horse hides? Where's the tail? The hair seems too long.
 I hope.

when my childhood pony died, my father wanted us to save the skin.
danny was a poa, with beautiful and unusual markings -- silver in front
with white spots, white in back with black spots. i was appalled and
said something basically unforgivable to my father (a ww2 refugee) and
nothing came of it.

but i suspect the use of horsehides reflects a kind of waste nothing
attitude at some level. i can respect that, though it's not what i
wanted for my own pony's remains.

Nancy, I printed out this pic Judy marked of Tosca in
the saddle. This is a Tucker Endurance - which tree -
reg. or wide. Can you measure it from front to back,
then measure Tosca's back from where a saddle would
sit at it's most forward point back to where it would
be at it's most rear point. And get me the
measurements before I leave for the convention Friday
morning. This will help when I look at all the
saddles with the other measurements of Tosca's back
you sent me.

That's understandable. I have a QH/welsh cross that
I've been working with for 2 1/2 years and he's still
not where I'd like him to be. Sometimes I wonder if
we'll ever get there, and I go back and forth about
whether to keep him or not. But, with horses a dime a
dozen right now, I think, who would want him? I
won't let him go to just anybody. I love him and
want the best for him. Sometimes we are just not good
matches! :- ) I hope you find a good home for Dagur.
He's a great deal for an Icelandic!
