Di unroot bisa. Ngetes setting adfree dibilang gak bisa. Asumsi gua sih udah
unroot.
Tapi Clockworkmod nya masih ada. Kl ada yg tau cara remove kasih tau ya
sebelum besok dibawa ke LG.

Google App Inventor claims to enable non-coders to develop complete,
working Android apps by connecting a series of “blocks”. Google has
been testing App Inventor in schools for a year, reports the NYTimes.
At the time of writing, App Inventor is only available to those who
apply via a form.

The concept is a smart one: Not only is the Android Market an open
platform for developers (with no approval process, ala the App Store),
but now we’ll likely see a vast array of specialized apps built by non-
developers. This could radically increase the volume of apps in the
Market versus the App Store.

The expansion may of course come at the cost of quality: We’ll see
thousands of new Android apps, but will they be of a “cookie cutter”
nature, offering very little value? There is, however, an upside in
the long-term: If App Inventor is so simple that schoolchildren can
make apps, some those same children will soon become coders themselves
… and perhaps choose to develop android apps rather than iPhone.

What do you think? Is App Inventor a winning play on Google’s part?

[id-android] WTA: AmonRA Recovery selalu boot

Subuh2 dapet trouble nih.
Jadi ceritanya Magic lagi pake ROM SuperHero 1 mau ganti ke Cyanogen.
Udah berkali2 ganti2 ROM sih oke2 aja.
Seperti biasa, wipe, install DRC83_base_defanged.
Nah kali ini pas mau flash Cyanogen, ada error getprop.
Baru sadar kalo masih pake recovery Hero.
Jadinya flash recovery recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.6.2H.img.
Tapi ternyata masih error getprop.
Menurut nasehat Cyanogen, sebaiknya pake recovery-RA-sapphire-
v1.5.2H.img
Udah di flash tapi sekarang setiap masuk ke recovery mode, tiap kali
pilih menu pake trackball ataupun volume lansung boot lagi trus logo
HTC Magic. Selalu gitu.
Udah dicoba flash lagi.
Tapi tiap kali mau pilih menu, boot lagi.

Any help?

Ternyata recovery sapphire (entah kenapa) gak bisa di magic.
Pake recovery-RA-Magic32A-6.35-v1.5.2.img baik2 saja.

 Jadinya flash recovery recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.6.2H.img.
 Tapi ternyata masih error getprop.
 Menurut nasehat Cyanogen, sebaiknya pake recovery-RA-sapphire-
 v1.5.2H.img
 Udah di flash tapi sekarang setiap masuk ke recovery mode, tiap kali
 pilih menu pake trackball ataupun volume lansung boot lagi trus logo
 HTC Magic. Selalu gitu.
 Udah dicoba flash lagi.
 Tapi tiap kali mau pilih menu, boot lagi.

 Any help?

Ketawan akhirnya.
Jadi kalo pake ROM Hero 2.1 v1 dr ahmgsk, twidroid gak muncul di market
(udah pake Market Enabler juga). CMIIW.
Sekarang pake ROM Eclair 2.1 dr ahmgsk juga, twidroid nongol.

Udah nyoba tweetcaster juga. Tampilannya memang mewah. Tapi menurut gua,
ruangan jadi sempit, 1 layar cuma muat 3 -4 twit.
Twidroid gua pake font medium. Jadi cocok lah sama mata.

Gua pernah kok mencoba install Open Moko (open source mobile phone juga) ke
O2 (XDA II mini). Berhasil. Cuma sulit aja mencet2nya, soalnya Open Moko
udah dipencet pake jempol sedangkan O2 masih pake stylus. Tapi seru juga.

Belom nyoba porting android ke O2.

Make sure your phone is back to stock state (restore org nandroid) as
the update.zip patches the original files...

Gua udah pake ROM ini di magic sekitar 2 mingguan.
Lancar sih, tapi begitu banyak SW yg diinstall jadi lemot responnya.
Trus desktopnya cuma 3 halaman. Kurang banyak.

Blm coba yg kingkclixx. Tapi ini lagi pengen balik lagi ke donut CY. Emang
Magic kayaknya paling lancar di Donut. IMO.

Awalnya sih tergiur sama ROM ini Eclair dgn Nexus 3D gallery (http://

Pas liat requirementnya harus pake latest Radio  SPL.
Akhirnya baca tutorial gimana upgrade SPL di

Tapi ternyata yg prasyaratnya:
- Engineering SPL
- 1.33.2005
- 1.33.2009
- 1.33.2010

Gak tersebut 1.33.0009.
Gimana caranya ya?
Apa musti upgrade ke 1.33.2010 dulu?

Abis kalo upgrade SPL gak bisa asal2an ya. Keringetan.

I have the Nexus one - I ordered it the first day - got it the next day - it
rocks - I had the G1 for a year and this kicks its butt - the nexus one does

Facts are my friend got his nexus one the same day I did - his rocks to - I
have been in three cities with it - it is perfect everywhere

Lets talk battery performance - the iphone is the worst battery performance
phone probably ever produced - my G1 was good with the big extended life
battery - the smaller battery in the nexus one is quite phenomenal - I don't
know how they got it to perform so well with such a fast processor - I use
my phone for work all day long and I pound on the internet and voice - i
still have about 20% left after a hard day of use

Lets talk price - at $529 and T-mobile $79 unlimited talk, text, and
internet with NO contract it is the BEST value in the U.S. - do the math
over one to two years and figure out how much you will save - how much is
unlimited everything on ATT or Verizon? oh thats right about $150 and
requires a contract.

Nexus one is revolutionary - not evolutionary

By the way lets talk about apps - they are a fad for the most part and will
not be long term players - some will survive - most will fail - I have never
met one person - iphone or android that uses more than a couple - and they
generally use all the same ones - any app worth a darn is on all platforms

What I have found works best is creating shortcuts to all my favorite
websites and I put them on my home screens - the web versions are often
better than the apps - for example i strongly prefer the weather channel
mobile website to the app - and most companies are developing mobile web
versions of websites that are speedy and very friendly to navigate.

Honestly PC World - grow up and print real columns - your work seems
childish and unprofessional - you quantify no facts - no percentages - only
a random problem person here or there - hopefully the readers are smarter

Sorry forgot to add one thing - the nexus one is set default to auto
backlight - i changed mine to toggle brightness - I have been using mine
outside in the bright Texas sun and I see my screen just fine - I have no
idea where screen issues in sunlight came from - just as mysterious as
everything else in these columns

 Menurut gue dari Android memang belom ada yang revolusioner untuk

[id-android] WTA: N1 3G frekuensi

Guys mau nanya,
Temen gua nanya2 tantang N1 ke temennya di Amerika.
Jadi katanya N1 yg unlocked itu somehow frekuensi 3G nya udah di set
untuk T-Mob yg berbeda dgn 3G Asia.
Bisa dipake tapi gak bisa dapet 3G nya, yg bisa dipake cuma 2G/EDGE/
GPRS.

Katanya mendingan tunggu yg ATT, mau keluar juga. Kalo yg ATT, 3G
nya kompatibel dgn network Asia.
Tapi gak tau sih yg versi ATT juga keluar yg unlocked gak? Gak tau
kapan sih keluar, soalnya ATT masih kontrak sama iPhone. Dia bilang
sih ending soon kontraknya.

Buat yg udah megang N1, 3G nya bisa gak?

Hmm kalo gak salah baca di salah 1 thread milis ini, N1 udah mendarat dgn
selamat di tangan boss AJ deh. Hehehe...

Karena informasi dari temennya temen di US sana ttg 3G nya, jadinya gua
selain baca2 racun N1, jg baca problem2 yg udah terjadi.
Nah salah 1 problem nya adalah 3G nya (ada jg kasus aneh, layar di bagian
tengah kalo abis nonton video atau apa gitu lupa, jadi pink. Tapi katanya
solved dgn update firmwarenya HTC tipe apa lupa yg WinMo). Dan karena N1
pake network T-mob, jadinya blm jelas tuh troublenya di mana. N1 nya apa
Tmob nya.
Malah ada salah 1 video di youtube (sayangnya gua lupa bookmark), kalo N1
nya di taro di atas meja, 3G nya nyala, tapi begitu dipegang, langsung drop
dan switch ke 2G. Ntar deh gua cari videonya. (kl ada yg pernah liat boleh
di share).

Ada juga di salah 1 blog, di SG ternyata jg sempet ada masalah 3G di
beberapa network di sana, tapi solved dgn men-set APN nya.

 Autostarts, ada di droidappz. Tapi somehow di saya, khusus K9 selalu
 persistent. Udah di disable suka tetep nyala, trus pas saya cek di
 autostarts, toggle disable K9-nya udah balik ke enable.

[id-android] WTA: Fastboot recovery via better terminal

Temans,
boleh dong saya diajarin step by step gimana caranya masuk ke recovery-
RAv1.2.0H tapi tanpa PC, via better terminal. Mumpung cyanogen baru
lagi, jadi mau sekaligus coba.
Waktu itu udah diajarin:

su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
reboot

tapi setelah reboot, ya balik masuk ke OS nya lagi.
Ada step yg kurang gak?
Apa SD nya musti dipartisi?

Info: Magic 32A, Cyanogen 4.2.11.1, SDcard gak dipartisi sama sekali
(formatnya masih sama dari waktu beli).

Makanya dibilang ngabisin batre ya kalo pake GPS, karena ternyata handset
ngitung matematika rumit.
Artinya justru lebih baik A-GPS ya.
Apakah semua A-GPS punya chip GPS di dalemnya?
Seperti iPhone 3G misalnya.
Abis ada kawan bilang sebaiknya beli handset yg GPS instead of A-GPS, karna
dia bilang AGPS itu sebenernya Akal2an GPS.

 bandung, jam segini di posisi bandung gps yg beredar di atas bandung adalah
 nomer 17, 19,dan 24 misalnya.
 Nah data tersebut diberikan kepada gps droid, supaya langsung hubungi
 satelit nomer tsb, jadi tidak trial error lagi.
 Makanya mustinya agps ini akan lebih cepar lock posisi, bahkan dibantu
 dengan hitungan rumit triangulasi bts maka kita bisa dapet posisi walau di
 dalam rumah, terlihat kan kalau buka google maps dia lebih cepat tau kita
 dimana dibanding program lain, karena semua komputasi rumit dibereskan di
 server.
 Untuk real gps, semua komputasi dihitung di dalam unit.

 Jadi ketika tidak ada koneksi internet sebuah agps tetap bisa dapet posisi,
 hanya lebih lama.

Mau cerita aja.
Saya sekarang tuh udah paling males baca2 paket internet mobile. Terlalu
banyak syaratnya. Harga sekian, quota sekian, nanti kalo exceed diturunin
lah, dianu lah,di anu lah.
Inget banget waktu GPRS masih pada promosi, Matrix cuma nambah 25rb sebulan
unlimited flat (waktu blm banyak penghuninya kenceng bro. Saya pake infrared
SE T310 nyambung ke laptop, sampe mau meledak tuh HP), trus Starone, kalo
gak salah 150 unlimited flat (ini juga di abuse penggunaannya, pake Sanex.
Bandel jg tuh HP).

Sekarang sih di rumah wifi, kantor wifi. Kalo di luar ya on/off toggle data
seperlunya aja. Paling twitting sm jadwal bioskop doang hehehe...

Trus biar koneksi bisa di split, minta bantuin temen yg ngerti, hehehe
Tapi prinsipnya sih, kalo pake PC, musti punya 2 LAN card. Yg 1 buat konek
didaftarin ke fastnet, yg 1 buat kita pake.
Kalo di rumah ada 1 laptop dan 1 PC ber-wireless. MAC address yg dipake buat
didaftarin ke fastnet pake LAN laptop, jadi kalo laptop konek ke internet
kudu pake wifi, soalnya kan LAN nya udah kepake.
Jadi PC, Droid, sm device2 wireless lainnya tinggal konek ke wifi.
Gitu lah kira2... caranya gua gak ngerti, tapi prinsipnya gitu lah.
Kalo ada temen2 lain yg bisa nerangin dengan bahasa yg mudah silahkan. :)

Bro, mau tanya, numpad nya better keyboard itu gk jalan ya multitap nya. Udh
tap 2x buat huruf b kok susah bgt. Huruf2 yg lain jg gt.
Soalnya saya lbh suka numpad. Cukup 1 tangan aja. :)
Di hero sih bagus bgt, lg nyoba cyan nih.
