Yes you are right, 99% of users use pirated corporate software. Instituitions are going to to teach only about corporate software because they are also small corporations. Foss is a community driven software so the community is the most able entity to spread the word. We as members of that community can start telling friends about Linux. They wont get interested about it at the first instance but they will listen eventually. The friend of my friend saw his desktop and eageely wants linux. [fsug-tvm] Re: Youngest RHCE Hoder
Yeah true... dont see RHCE as a simple task just coz at his little guy did it. There were instance beofre 4-5 years...in which a 10 yr old boy completed LLB by self study. he was examined and found he was better than many professionals. It was all because of that boy's determination. This little boy Mendez must have also been trained rigorously with only intention to get him RHCE certfn!!! If a little kid can operate a mob.. a pc he can do RHCE too. it all Computers n so on But seeing RHCE downgraded just coz he tuk it is absolutely not rite..!! RHCE is not like CCNA..that u study dumps and u can crack it. If you would ask Mendez and he shall knw the filesystems like any other kid knows windows FS..and he shall know servers t. HE studied he worked hard and above all the most important thing in learning a new course like RHCE ( for thos who are really new to it)... is a gd trainer! if u have a real good trainer ... You can learn it t god.. One i can mention was the one who taught us RHCE... Mr.Praveen of Logic,TVM... I was damn ignorant about the whole of Linux... and was not an expert at windows tooo. He was an absolute blessing. You can ask anyone thr. Similarly Mendez too wud have been trained...well n may be for a lon time. But one thing is there...none is gd as our sir. he teaches the best... Even if u havent seen a computer in ur life b4 u shall not only be an RHCE by the time u pass out... but u shall be self confident that u are gud in that field...!!! And that why we told him at end.. "Evolution doesnt take ages. it just takes a TEACHER like you..."" And morevr soeone mentioned it already... he is the son of the person who owns IPSR Thus Mendez wud have had the full facilties...long training and loads of practice hours. You shall realise how gud the course is... and how unique the exam is... only wen u experience it... its the best !!! I can say it with surity coz i have done both CCNA n RHCE.! I admit CCNA is not a task...wen u have dumps. without dumps...its also one.. So plz dnt degrade the value of RHCE coz of this. But plz people ( request to thos who responed in the manner that it-was-no-big-deal).learn to appreciate that little boy for his hardwork and determination. CHeers to that lil chappp.!!! [fsug-tvm] National Seminar on “Embedded Design W ith GNU/Linux”
Free Software Cell, Government Engineering College, Barton Hill,Thiruvananthapuram is Organising a One Day National Seminar on “Embedded Design With GNU/Linux” On March21, 2009, Saturday at the Campus in association with Visiting Faculty Scheme, Directorate of Technical Education , Govt. of Kerala and Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment. Free Software continues to conquer more space with extensive applications in the field of Engineering and Technology, in general and electronics in particular. More and more microcontroller & microprocessor simulators, open hardware and embedded systems have come up with GNU/Linux as the core. Despite the farreaching functionality of these embedded systems, few educational institutions have harnessed the power of these free technologies that are in fact more powerful than their proprietary counterparts. This seminar on ‘Embedded Design With GNU/Linux” aims to bridge the gap between the knowledge accumulation process and its practical applications, thereby Enlightening the participants about various facets of embedded systems. Participants will be able to feel the synergy that Free software systems share with the learning process. This seminar brings forth an avenue for intensive interaction with experts like Mr.Shakti Kannan, Sr. Engineer, Qvental, Hyderabad . Mr.Pramode C.E. , Fosstronics, Thrissur and Mr.David John, Tata Elexsi , Technopark , Trivandrum. The daylong seminar is planned on 21st March, 2009. With an expected participation of over hundred Engineering Students and Teachers spanning the nation, the event will open up a new window of opportunities and share new schools of thought.
