 Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know how to make the /var partition bigger, I am currently
using FC 14 . Can I resize the /var partition to 100gb(current capacity is
50gb and the hdd already having 50gb free space).I want to do it without
 losing data.

If that extra 50GB is adjacent to existing /var partition, then you can
probably use GParted to easily resize the partition. Make sure you unmount
/var before you do this. Even more importantly, make sure you *backup* all
your data. Messing with partitions is a risky affair.

Oh boy! Do you at least see grub when you boot?
If you can, use Puppy Linux or any live CD to boot and check the
harddisk partition configuration. Do: fdisk -l and post the output here.
Also, please attach your original /etc/fstab file.
