Hi ! I would like to know if there are students willing to take up developing a social networking site using Drupal. In case the work is production worthy .they can maintain the production version of the site if the want and take it up as their part time job ! 2. What is the end goal of this project? Commercial/Personal/Organizational? Will the code be released with an open source license? I think I should classify as personal . Students are free to do whatever they want with the code. I think the work involved is only , an opportunity to work with a production site , testing out various Drupal modules and make sure they work. If at all any original work is done students will have all the credit. And they can do whatever they want with it no strings attached. It will remain truly open source in spirit and content. 3. If they 'convert' it into their final year project, will you give them the necessary documentation to prove so (to their HODs or whoever)? Under what authority? Yes . In fact there are other projects like this running with student power and I have given letter to the institute saying they are taking part in this project. I am very pleased with the progress and more than anything else the enthusiasm and energy exhibited by the students. Various CMS tools If we get some more stalls, the options are, 3. Educational tools 4. Open Source RDBMS Tools 5. IDE's We have planned for two technical talks. The topic will be intimated within couple of days. Apart from that we are sending 10 non technical volunteer for other works. We are very sorry that we are not able to participate large in number.
