All our applications could be released with the open source license.
Absolutely free for the public to make use of it. One of our main objective

for his better living.

environment of IIS, When i try to deploy the application throws an
exception as follows "The 'Data Directory' you specified could not be found
or created. Either correct the path or create that directory manually." and
it breaks.

Did any body faced similar issue before? i like to make a keen note here "i
already google before posting it, in our list !!!"

I have couple things need to cleared is the moodle project is alive still
?? since i could'nt see, much activity on moodle group. They are not very
active in their IRC channel and even in their in forum their is no much
activity in their forums.

I remember that their is somebody working on the moodle form the NRCFOSS at
least i like to hear (know) from them. About the current status of the
project moodle, whether it is ON or OFF forever...

Here you made a point regarding the Blood sucking & Commerical exploitation
in the list. Its not an eye wash and i want to make one point very clear.
What do you think if i Say India's third largest IT company charges 22k from
the people for their fresher induction program. Company had signed a bond
with the people stating the money is refuned only on the sucessfull
compeltion of the program. If not the candiate may lose both their
opportunity to get into the compnay as well as the the fee what he paid for
the program. I know all these because we trainined those freshers.

Now the current IT compan's they want to cut down the money what they
spend for the training & especially on the freshers, these people have the
tie with the compnay like us they want the candidate need to be get trained
on the self supportive basis.

Choosing an Ideal Framework, is all about the requirement of the project,
for example if the application is going to deployed in the dedicated hosting
then Symfony is the best one. other wise you could choose anything else.

Code generation, Symfony provides the option to generate the code depends on
the structure of the model layer.

Time, Symfony is vast, if you have enough time to invest on learning and
doing home work, before you kickstart your work then go ahead with the
Symfony.

Symfony could be a base for promoting the development of enterprise class
solution with the PHP.

Last but not least Symfony could do wonders if you know how you use it
correct way. Its been supported by an most active community and extensive
documentations.

[Ilugc] re: fossconf 2009,

2009-01-30 Thread Ravi Jaya
Dear members of ilguc,

Two days back, Mr. Raman.P and myself had a meeting with the FossConf-2009
organising committee in madu...@tec. I am surprised when i interact with
them personelly, they are highly motivated, the sprit (Fire) of FOSS among
them is sky high. I have no idea about TEC, before i met these people, but
now i feel that Mr. Raman and the other members of ILUGC made a good choice.

Especially I like to mention here, about their HOD Mrs Shalini and other
members (students) of the organising committee who have alerady started to
spend their late evenings in the preparation of the FossConf-2009. My wishes
to the team.

Last but not the least, i request all of our friends from iLUGC and
NRCFOSS to suport the FossConf-2009 organising committee and to help in all
the aspects to make this event, an huge success.

cheers

(seminiar), It would be more beneficary if you do some ground work before
you attend the talk, since I felt the same when i attened a workshop on
asterix a few months back.

To understand Django, we people need to know basics of Pyhton programming.
Same way let we ask Vijay to share with us the prerequestite for the
DocBook.

Do your home work, before a workshop and you feel the difference.

good luck.

[Ilugc] re: Sahana need's contributers

2009-02-28 Thread Ravi Jaya
Hi all,

Sahana need's contributers. Students, Developers, Testers, Docuement
Writers could contribute towards the Sahana development. As of now Sahana
is heading towards a major release, all it required is more man power to
speed up the process. Interested parties could join in the project and make
their contribution in the development of Sahana'.

For more details you could visit sahana's website mentioned below.

What is Sahana?

Sahana is a Free and Open Source Disaster Management system. It is a web
based collaboration tool that addresses the common coordination problems
during a disaster from finding missing people, managing aid, managing
volunteers, tracking camps effectively between Government groups, the civil
society (NGOs) and the victims themselves.

People adopt to a different strategy to teach swimming to their kids,
somebody would push their child into the water, and they stay back & watch
the kids to start swim in order order to come of the water (a shock
treatment). Why cant you take it in such a way. If the parent through their
child in the water it mean they are trying kill them.

It's all about our own perception. Similar to that practising Wind/
non-FOSS in a fossconf is prohibited. They did the same. so that it could be
a lesson for somebody in mere future.

Why cant you unintall/remove the existing firefox from you system and go for
recent one form firefox website. So that it would be the latest and more
