You are probably right.
But my context is based on the collective, human.
I feel `known` as from `knowledge` was more appropriate than `learn` which
seemed more individual. Might be wrong. My personal opinion. Who am I to
interpret ஔவையார்? :)

should this not be:
learned is a drop, not learned is an ocean

even allowing for poetic license in substituting 'drop' for 'as big as a
handful of earth' and ocean for 'as big as the planet/world'
