[ilugd] dual boot problem
I have to help a friend reinstall windows on a system which also has RHEL4 on it. In other words, it was a dual boot system, and we were both afraid that re-installing Windows will overwrite the Master Boot Record (MBR) and make it impossible to boot into RHEL4. What are the possible options to avoid it...or to recover the linux again. -- I m a gr8 believer in luck and I find the harder I try the more I have of it Abhinav Sahai R.KG.I.T Ghaziabad http://www.sahaitherocker.blogspot.com http://www.flickr.com/photos/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/?saved=1 ___ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/

Re: [ilugd] drive can be shared
I assume you have Windows XP with the Drive E formatted with NTFS. For NTFS support you will need to install the NTFS driver. There is a guide for this here --- http://www.linux-ntfs.org/content/view/127/63/ Incase the Drive E is formatted as FAT32 then you can mount the drive natively with the mount command into a directory of your choice. Hope this helps. On 8/19/06, shailendra kumar [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi , I am silent member of this group. I want to share my windows E drive contents when I have booted my system in linux mode.
