Suggestions? I continue to google for this.

What you are looking for is called fancy autoindexing. There is a
apache module to do that. It might be sufficient for your needs.

Not sure what terms you are using for your search, but this should give
you enough resources http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=php+autoindex

I like the one here for its simplicity
http://www.plebian.com/news.php?artc=8 (just put the code into
index.php), but it does not have pretty icons (something I really want).
This seems better http://autoindex.sourceforge.net/, but read
through its code first (I have not done that) and this too
http://chxo.com/be2/software/imagelistphp.html (read code here too)

new page is added and provide a link to that page.

Suggestions? I continue to google for this.

 Two options

1) Write a index.html which gathers list of files
using javascript (use body.onload event) and display
the list.
2) if you have php enabled on your webserver then use
http://autoindex.sourceforge.net/

rest of the solutoins are pretty bulky IMHO.

[ilugd] [x-posted] 'Moonlight' sannata waltzes with GnuLinux

2007-06-24 Thread Linux Lingam
dear all,

this is rather impressive!

'moonlight' is a drop-in replacement for silverlight, and runs on linux.
http://www.mono-project.com/Moonlight

Mono is the GPL'd EMCA implementation of the .NET Framework for Linux.
Moonlight is the new Silverlight-compatible runtime for the *nix world.

a blog here mentions the plight of mono's developers.
http://neosmart.net/blog/2007/mono-doesnt-get-enough-credit/

what's missing, the sounds of applause, appreciation, support, and
encouragement for moonlight.

hence 'sannata' a hindi word that means 'soundless' or 'silence'.

[ilugd] conflict between ndiswrapper and Nvidia GL drivers

2007-06-24 Thread Darshan

I am using OpenSuse 10.2 on my compaq laptop. Previously I was using wifi with
ndiswrapper. Recently I installed Beryl which required Nvidia GL display
drivers. Beryl is working fine. But now my wifi does not work.
ndiswrapper -l says that driver is present and device is working.
knetworkmanager is unable to connect.
If someone has faced and overcome this problem. Please give pointers.
