The web interface on the Dlink 502T has the option to restrict wan access, but it doesn't actually work (for mine, at least) 8-/ (doesn't work as in - click the options; apply them; save and reboot as suggested; see that the options are still checked - and then find that you can still telnet in from the internet to whatever public IP it has). This is all very subversive. It looks like the ISI has infiltrated MTNL. Or maybe it's the CIA. Or the Chinese with their cyberwar brigade. Or maybe they're all conspiring together. Fear not! We can thwart the evil foreign hand at work here with not just one, but two workarounds: 1. use iptables from CLI on the modem or 2. like Raj suggested, use the modem as an ethernet bridge. Re: [ilugd] [OSS Camp, Delhi: 48] Re: Ideas Activities
i prefer JNU. hands? date/time: sunday 8 July, 3pm? earlier? later? Sunday next would give enough notice to all. But since you have taken the coordination role here instead of secretary Gora you are the boss. sudev, actually, next sunday is preferable, and you're right. gives everyone time. so 15 july. i am not coordinating anything. just wanted to meet osscamp guys and how it syncs/complements with freed.in a topic we briefly discussed when some of met for a freed.in meet at munirka. gora, if ya could coordinate this, even better. :-) niyam ___ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
