Dear Friends I reported you problems of both Hindi and Bangla in OOo in Ubuntu 7.04. As Bikas Rawal suggested, I downloaded the latest OOo 2.2.1 and did 'alien -i --scripts *.rpm', after 'apt-get --purge' on everything openoffice. And, really, as a pleasant surprise, all the problems were gone: both Bangla and Hindi. what are to trying to say here..? 1. you don't have a LAN/Ethernet card 2. your internet connection is thru USB can you plz clear out the confusion. do you have a wired or wireless connection ?
