Dear Ajay,

While this list has no chairperson per se, I imagine that
you are talking about Freed.in, the annual event organised
by ILUG-Delhi, which used to earlier be known as Freedel.
ILUG-Delhi is a registered society with office bearers,
and Freed.in does have a management committee.

If that is what you are referring to, we would be glad
to talk about how the National Internet Exchange of India
can get involved. It might be best if you could come and
meet with us. Please email me off-list to arrange a place
and time.

Regards,
Gora

[ilugd] Gmail on Linux

2007-09-19 Thread Mani A
There is this new tutorial on that at Linux forums
http://www.linuxforums.org/misc/gmail_on_your_linux_box.html

Should be easy to deal with multiple accounts too,... of course if you
have the correct habits.

Best

to be held on sept 28 -29, 2007. I am sorry if I can ask this but it is
needed for me, so I am asking this, please don;t mind. I am a student
studying in DAIICT, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. I couldn't afford 2000 or more (
for transportation, food, lodging in delhi tha incur during the camp ), so
can you give me some exception and help me in this. I am nothing special,
and nothing will happen to the camp if I dont attend as I am just a
listener, but I am very eager to attend. So I am requesting for your help.
Please consider my request . I will be very much greatful and thankful if
you can help me. Thanks, have a nice day. Hope to listen from you soon.

I fully empathise with you but we do not have any budget for such
expense. The entry and food is free and maximum is I can help you find
night accommodation with some one in the ILUG-D community. You will
still have to arrange travel.

I am marking a copy of this to the ILUG-D mailing list to see if some
one else from the community can help pitch in. It would be better if
your request is routed through your teacher/HOD.

it is mentioned in the pamphlet that u have published that java
tutorials are being organised by the sun microsystems.so i am

Admission to the tutorials is strictly on a first-come,
first-serve basis during the event. We are trying to have
the Java tutorials held on both Fri., and Sat.

In any case you will need to register as a delegate at
http://freed.in/ . Please do so immediately, otherwise the chances
of attending the event itself (leave alone the Java tutorial)
  become very low :)

so is the event free of any fee?

Yes, there are no charges for attending ay part of the event.

Sure. Can be a standard BOF-ish thing. What do you need,
besides an announcement? If you could write up a one
paragraph write up, and send it to Kishore and me, I am
sure that can go up on the site.

Have set up the event at the canonical keysigning party site,
biglumber.com (er, not Mark's Canonical, the adjective canonical --
look it up if you are confused :) Please register your keys at:

  https://biglumber.com/x/web?keyring=6098

I'm trying to locate the mail I'd sent to the list thousands of years
ago which detailed all that you need to do to participate in a
keysigning party. If I find it, I'll post it here. In the meantime,
Chapter 4 of
http://cryptnet.net/fdp/crypto/keysigning_party/en/keysigning_party.html
is a good starting point, though a bit too technical for my taste.

CC'ing freed.in mailing list.
