I am not sure that one can learn much from the slides themselves. If you are interested in Indian language publishing with TeX/LaTeX, please talk to people at Sarai (off-list, or on the indlinux-group mailing list). I can also put you in touch with the people that worked on the project. Besides this work, there is also XeTeX which allows Unicode in TeX/LaTeX documents. This needs some minor work to port it from MacOSX to Linux (mostly a matter of modifying ttf fonts to ones appropriate for TeX, specifying fonts, and testing). [ilugd] Unrestricted Internet telephony?
Wow, looks like all those crappy restrictions on Internet Telephony (VoIP) are being done away with in on fell stroke! Now TRAI is recommending that any ISP be allowed to provide VoIP services and the air gap between VoIP and PSTN equipment is not mandatory anymore. I'm wondering, is this (at least in part) motivated by GoI not having the capability to monitor existing VoIP services like Skype, Yahoo, etc.? Note that call interception equipment is a requirement for ISPs :) Official release: http://www.trai.gov.in/trai/upload/PressReleases/594/pr18aug08no70.pdf New article: http://www.ibnlive.com/news/trai-allows-internet-telephony-std-rates-may-drop/71488-7.html Regards, -- Raju -- Raj Mathur[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://kandalaya.org/ GPG: 78D4 FC67 367F 40E2 0DD5 0FEF C968 D0EF CC68 D17F PsyTrance & Chill: http://schizoid.in/ || It is the mind that moves ___ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/

You should append 1 to the end of your kernel boot line in the grub menu. 1 is single user mode (run level 1 ) and will boot you directly into a root shell. You can then use passwd to change your password. Then reboot or type init 5 and you system should come fully up.
