Dear Vijay/list,
Thanks for the swift help,  However, I am sorry to add that in mandriva there 
is no wvdial hence wvdial.conf does not exist.

Despite that i loaded wvdial rpm and tried to configure but same could not be 
activated.

Thanks again for the reference.  I would however appreciate if help could be 
initiated with reference to this.

I am also using the same Reliance  Data card,and  its working fine for me,i
searched once on  the internet and found one very useful URL

PS: I know most of people do not follow email niceties (mostly they
are not aware) but if you follow bottom post/in-line post style of
