 Hi Debendro,

 By default all block devices are accepted in LVM. If you want LVM to watch
 out only for certain type of devices, you have to put an appropriate
 filter.

 e.g to exclude CDROM you may put

 filter = [ r|/dev/cdrom| ]

 Given your requirement, you may try

 filter = [ a/sda[1-9]$/ a/emcpower.*/ r/.*/ ]

 And don't forget to run vgscan -vv after making changes to lvm.conf, also
 be
 careful if running on production, keeping the backup of lvm.conf is must.

 Cheers!

 In my opinion you're trying to solve the wrong problem. Giving
 untrusted users admin access on production systems is going to keep
 causing problems, regardless of how many such vulnerabilities you
 close. The real solution is to remove admin access from all except a
 few experienced users.

 If you can't do that, give each one of them a virtual machine to play
 with and let him/her destroy it in whatever innovative fashion s/he
 finds convenient.

   Would help if you could tell us what you tried, and what were the
   problems you encountered. You need to put the repository somewhere
   online, and set up /etc/apt/sources.list to point to the repository.
   Read the apt documentation, or search Google for how to do this.
