Hello Gaurav,
You can consider Compaq Presario 2203AL. It has got beautiful
specifications and it comes with Mandrake Linux CD along with all the
drivers, even the modem drivers. It does not come either with pre
installed XP or Linux, so you can choose your distribution as well.

Hi

First thing first, never send emails without subject. This is bad manners.

As far as your problem is concerned you can visit the following link

http://rpmseek.com/rpm/caitoo-0.6.6-94.html?hl=comcs=caitoo:PN:0:0:0:0:1247165

On this page there is a link to all the above library files you have
mentioned. Download and install them and I hope your problem will be solved.

Hi

You should also talk to your Local ISP, are they using any Proxy Server? In
case yes, ask them the relevant IP and the port and you have to specify the
same in Mozilla. The menu option is Edit-Preferences-Advanced-Proxies.
I hope this helps.

[ilugd] Graphics Programming under Linux

2004-06-05 Thread Vaibhav Sharma
Hello Everybody.

Well I would like to ask a small question. Earlier I was using Turbo C on
MS-DOS to implement various fundamental graphics algorithms. I used
graphics.h library. Now I want to implement the same thing on Linux.

My question is how do we go about it. Which libraries to use? Can anyone
recommend me any good books or websites to begin with? Is there any library
in Linux which supports functions like putpixel() etc?

Hey There,

Where do I get the latest issue of DIGIT. I have searched the
bookstalls
and they are having the July 2003 issue only.

Please give me a lead from where I could get hold of this magazine.

Also if there are some links available on the net regarding the same.
Though
I checked the link http://www.digitmag.co.uk , but there also it tells
all
about the July issue and not the August 2003 issue.

[ilugd] Digit DVD

2003-08-02 Thread Vaibhav Sharma
Hello Everybody

This is just to inform everybody that the Digit Magazine's August 2003
issue has two CD-ROMS and one DVD. The DVD is entirely devoted to the
Linux. Of all things it carries ISO images of four Linux Distributions,
namely, Red Hat 9.0; Mandrake 9.1; Knoppix 3.2; and Peanut 9.5.

Now I am not an agent of Digit and neither has Digit paid me for writing
this mail. But this is just to inform everybody, so that those wishing
to lay their hands on any of these distributions can get their copies.

Kind regards

[ilugd] OS Sequence

2003-07-21 Thread Vaibhav Sharma
Hi Everybody

I just wanted to know how many of us have actually installed more than
two operating systems on a PC. I mean other than our adored “Linux” and,
well, the one who should not be named (Windows). Other day me and my
friend were talking about the sequence in which you have to install
multiple Operating System. After much deliberation we finally said that
in order to have multi-boot system, the correct sequence IMHO is as
follows:-
1. Windows 98
2. Windows NT
3. Windows 2000
4. Windows XP
5. Red hat Linux 9.0 (with GRUB being the bootloader)

4 windows aur 1 Linux! Bahut nainsaafi hai But with GRUB controlling
the boot sequence of these four it seems all the more powerful. He He
He.

Anyway I would like to have the opinion of the members of the list. Has
anyone installed these many operating systems on your or yours enemies
system. In case yes, what problems did you face if any? And what are the
pitfalls that should be avoided? Has anyone prepared any checklist for
installing these Operating Systems.

Kind Regards

Vaibhav Sharma
