I suggest adding some OpenGL stuff like Mesa and Open Inventor (libraries) and the OpenGL Red Book (doc). And how about some support for alternative languages like Haskell and Ocaml (or does everyone here use only the old faithfuls?). Some more suggestions - VB clones (Though I have never used one but I hear such beasts exist), Gaming engines like Crystal Space SDK. I'd also suggest wineX but I think it is not freely distributable. How does PCQLinux 2004 include it then? - AJ ___ ilugd mailinglist -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/

the cds must always carry the 'BIG BLOBS' that people can't usually download. these include the latest versions of: 1) libraries. libraries. libraries: 2) QT 3) KDE 4) GNOME 5) Mozilla 6) Evolution (is that possible?) 7) OpenOfficex.x. in addition, the cds must also carry stuff people don't think about, like: 1) templates, clip-art, themes, for openoffice, xmms, GDM, gimp, etc. 2) loads of muft and mukt music. encourage artists in india to submit their classical indian music for instance, as ogg vorbis files, under a creativecommons license, to be distributed on these cds. ditto with photographs, videos, etc. also, i hope LiFY and LFY don't become delhi-mailing list centric. hope they have posted their request for suggestions to major mailing lists across india, and/or to the linux india mailing list as well. :-) LL ___ ilugd mailinglist -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/

Re: [ilugd] Suggestion for Lify CD
hi, Eclipse was a good suggestion. If the C& C++ plugins are developed then i guess it will even take over anjuta and kdevelop in the near future. The suggestions given by vivek are good. But i guess they are present in any linux distributions.I would indeed stress on day to day utilities and documentation which are much needed.Lify cd's should come up with new libraries and the accompanying dependencies.Otherwise there is no point in coming up with a library which has a dependency on a newer version of other library which is not included with lify cd. Bugzilla and Doxygen are also a good choice. QMail will also be a good choice in mail server category. IBM Websphere will be a good choice in the application server category.
